First concert of the Camerata du Mont-Blanc's 2024/2025 season with In Octo

Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, written at the age of 26 in the final weeks before his death, is one of those poignant works in which great composers bequeathed a lifetime of work to posterity. A great masterpiece, on a par with Haydn's Harmoniemesse and Mozart's Requiem.

It is with this choice piece that the next concert by the vocal ensemble In Octo and the Camerata du Mont-Blanc will begin.

The programme also includes the famous Aria from JS Bach's Suite No. 3 in D Major BWV 1068, Cantata BWV 196 'Der Herr denket an uns' and Gabriel Fauré's Cantique de Jean Racine.

The concert will close with a surprise, heralding further programmes for the two groups together
